Today, we’re excited to announce that Pixelapse now supports Dropbox sync! We’ve heard time and again that many of you rely on Dropbox heavily, making Dropbox integration one of our most requested features. We’re thrilled to be able to share this with you.
Connect with Dropbox
Grab the latest Pixelapse app, either by hitting ‘Check for Updates’ in your app or download it directly for Mac or for Windows.
Head to Preferences > Services > Manage Dropbox. Once you’re logged in, you can choose which Dropbox folders you’d like Pixelapse to keep track of. Each Dropbox folder you select will be synced up as a new Pixelapse project.
If you’re worried about security, rest assured that Dropbox sync is completely read-only. Pixelapse doesn’t modify or edit any of the files in your Dropbox.
Pixelapse App Sync
An important point to note: Pixelapse sync will continue to work side-by-side with Dropbox sync. The contents of your Pixelapse folder are kept in sync, and every version uploaded, as usual.
Due to the nature of working with external services, there are a couple of features unavailable with Dropbox sync. Of particular note is that Sketch files are currently unsupported. We recommend using Pixelapse sync as the primary option for complete feature coverage.
Dropbox sync is the first of many external services we plan to support. If you have any services that you rely on in your organization, please let us know. We’d love to hear from you!
