Today we’re happy to announce that we have officially launched our private beta for native iOS applications, built a number of new features showcased below, and are rolling in access to new apps every day!

Collecting Data With One Line of Code

When implementing the analytics for tracking how your users are interacting with your app, it can be very easy to miss, or not realize you need to track, things that are critical to the success of your app.  With VUE, we’ve built the ability for iOS apps to automatically track the basics of where your users go and what they do in your app, saving you hours and hours of time and re-submissions if you missed something.

We’ve built this by latching onto iOS notifications for UIKit based apps, applying our unique algorithm, and pulling out the relevant information about your users interactions.

What if you want to track information that isn’t tied to UIKit elements? For those very specific features, we allow you to easily track custom events with the VUE SDK.

Data Is Great, But Insights Matter

While collecting all the usage data automatically is great, it’s really all about the insights you can gain from all of this data. You might want to know:

How many users came in the last 30 days?

What’s your retention rate?

What type of time period should you be analyzing users for your app? For example, monthly or quarterly? This is commonly referred to as periodicity.

With that we’ve built a very easy to use query engine for slicing your data with the intent of letting anyone - regardless of their technical knowledge - begin to understand their specifics of how their users are interacting with their app.

Upon clicking the “Run Now” button, the data is placed into graphs that give beautiful visualizations of your data.

Creating Dashboard Metrics so Everyone Walks to the Beat of the Same Drum

While making individuals able to run ad-hoc queries and immediately gain insights out of their data is amazing, it’s very important to be able to share insights across the entire team so everyone has an understanding of what’s important to your app.

Therefore the latest feature we’ve launched is the ability to create a custom dashboard in a matter of minutes, so everyone on your team can have a shared view of the key metrics for your application in one single source of truth.

Instead of immediately running the query as shown above, simply click the “Save” button.

The query will then be automatically added to the dashboard page, allowing you to create insightful dashboards for everyone in your organization to share and see in a matter of minutes.
