I am in the market for a new Android phone, but for the life of me can't find one that is powerful enough but will still fit in a normal trouser pocket.
I was excited about the slew of power phones out this year - the Galaxy S5, the LG G3, HTC M8 and the Sony offerings until I actually held one. They are all way too big for me. I find it a bit of a worry trend that the norm for Android PHONES is now 5+ inches. Do people really think the iPhone 6 (which help decide the landscape for the next few years) will be jump that much in screen size?
The Moto G which I'm using - always meant to be temporary - is a good size for me but ultimately underpowered, but the only decent replacement I can see at the high end of the performance scale is the iPhone 5S.
Reviews of both the Samsung Galaxy S5 and the HTC Mini 2 are pretty underwhelming (plasticy cheap build and poor CPU respectively), so I don't feel too far off jumping back in to bed with Apple. Here's hoping the Samsung Galaxy Alpha (due to be released on the 12th September 2014) will offer some hope...
