By parsing Github's Search API we are able to get a list of the top 1000 most followed users. From there, we use the Feedly API to detect the RSS/Atom feed for the users personal blogs. Then we simply scan all the RSS feeds for posts made in the last week. On Monday morning we blast our mailing list with Git Gossip.
