Blockchain and LocalBitcoins users were bombarded with attacks on their accounts last year as hackers abused Tor's infrastructure with some tried and tested encryption stripping techniques and a neat trick to ensnare as many Bitcoin owners as possible via CloudFlare, a security expert claims. The hits were part of a hacker "war zone" that has emerged on Tor, according to the man who witnessed them, where significant sums of money are being lost and won through illicit means, whilst people's supposedly-private emails are in danger too.
