One of the things that bothers me most about the Simulated Reality Hypothesis is that it comes close to bringing science around full circle back into a situation where we have an omnipotent creator or creators with reality subject their whims. But reading a blog post by Eric Falkenstein from last year has prompted me to look slightly differently at the subject.
